ABOUT
“The essence of warriorship is refusing to give up on anyone or anything."
Chögyam Trungpa Rinpochae
This belief is the heartbeat of my work. Life can get incredibly messy, and when you are sitting in deep pain, navigating a crisis, or trying to help your child find their footing, you shouldn't have to carry it alone.
I am here to hold a steady, grounded space for all of it—the heavy stuff, the resilient stuff, and everything in between.
The name “Still Waters Run Deep” comes from a simple truth: true healing requires us to slow down and look beneath the surface.
In a world that constantly demands our attention and keeps us disconnected, my practice is a place to step away from the noise and return to genuine, unhurried human connection.
Therapist, educator, parent, lifelong learner.
My work is guided by a simple truth. Change does not arrive loudly.
It takes shape in quiet moments of courage, when we choose not to turn away from ourselves, our children, or the relationships that matter most.
My career began inside large school systems, where I built programs to support students’ social-emotional growth.
When the pandemic hit, everything changed. I shifted into the intimate spaces of families' lives, sitting with people through honest conversations about fear, grief, and unmet needs.
When schools reopened, I realized I couldn't go back to the old way of doing things. Operating at a distance felt disconnected from the individual impact I valued most. That realization led me to graduate school to anchor my years of leadership and education into deep clinical practice.
Today, I walk alongside children, adults, and families as they unlearn the conditioning that keeps them stuck, helping them trust their own inner knowing and build a life that feels authentic.
I’ve been where you are in launching young people into an uncertain world. I know the dissonance between trusting the foundational lessons you imparted to your child and questioning their application in real-time experiences.
I know the struggle of acceptance, pride, and concern. I support your journey while living my own.
Areas of Focus
I look at wellness through a holistic lens that honors the mind, body, emotion, and spirit.
Because we do not heal in isolation, my practice is deeply family-focused. I always hold the bigger picture when I work with you, looking at the relationships, generational patterns, and family dynamics that shape how you move through the world.
Creative Expression & Emotional Resilience
Childhood moves fast, and development is delicate. I use art, play, and perspective-taking to meet young children exactly where they are. I help them translate big, overwhelming emotions into a language they can process safely, building their empathy and resilience along the way.
Authentic Identity & Inner Knowing
The teenage years bring unique challenges, identity shifts, and a deep need for autonomy. I provide an authentic, nonjudgmental space where teens can voice their struggles, work through anxiety, and learn to trust their own inner voice as they navigate the transition into adulthood.
Somatic Awareness & Personal Reclamation
For adults navigating anxiety, life transitions, or the long echoes of past family dynamics, I offer a steady space to look beneath the surface. My approach integrates clinical training with gentle, contemplative practice to help you listen inward, honor your experiences, and reconnect with your own deep inner wisdom.
Family Healing
My work with families focuses on exploring the space between who you are now and how you want to show up for your loved ones. Together, we work on healing old wounds so you can break autopilot cycles and create a family culture rooted in calm, regulated connection.
Relational Mindfulness & Conscious Partnership
Intimate relationships hold up a mirror to our deepest vulnerabilities. I help couples navigate emotional triggers, communication breakdowns, and difficult life transitions. By slowing down reactive habits, we map out new ways to move past old armor and step back into mutual care and shared understanding..
My Approach
Looking Beyond the Autopilot
We do not begin from scratch. Much of how we parent, love, and relate to one another happens on autopilot, guided by patterns formed long before we even had the language for them.
I help you explore the space between who you are now and who you want to be—gently identifying what needs to shift, soften, or be released. Reparenting ourselves and uncovering these hidden dynamics creates the room we need to show up with more clarity, compassion, and presence.
Even in the heavy work of healing, there is still joy to be found. And joy deserves room to grow.
Workshops, Training & Clinical Mentorship
Beyond my one-on-one clinical practice, my work extends into community education, leadership, and professional mentorship. Over the course of my career, I have developed and led workshops focused on:
Equity-centered school leadership
Trauma-informed education
Culturally responsive practices
Parenting with resilience
I am also deeply passionate about supporting the next generation of therapists. I offer clinical mentorship and consultation for emerging clinicians, particularly within practicum settings or coursework exploring mindfulness and counselor identity development.
For me, this is about bridging contemplative, deep-rooted approaches with real-world clinical tools. I love helping newer therapists meet themselves and their clients with more honesty, care, and courage.
